RICHARD GRUNDY
As MD of Catalyst Connect International GmbH, Richard can lay claim to over 25 years of experience in the field of below-the-line marketing, ranging from sponsorship in motorsport through sports marketing and for the last 14 years as Managing Director of a design and build agency specialising in themed environments and exhibitions, in Southern Germany. Under his leadership and supported by high levels of repeat business from long-term clients, the company steadily expanded its international focus, enabling it to offer executional expertise in most EMEA and ASPAC markets.
Following close to 5 years of close cooperation with the management team at Catalyst Exhibits in the USA, Richard is now the front man and co-founder of Catalyst’s international arm, Catalyst Connect International GmbH, where the goal is to connect North American clients with international events around the globe. Hence the ‘Connect’ in the company name. The newly-founded agency is based in Nuremberg, north of Munich and offers the full spectrum of design and project management services for the execution of exhibition and marketing spaces across a number of market sectors. This includes exhibits for industry, medical services and consumer goods for US and German companies both at home and abroad. Innovation is an important part of the agency’s proposition. Sharing premises with a number of specialist sister companies and connected through common ownership, Catalyst Connect is able to offer in-house expertise in virtual reality solutions, interactive presentations, digital exhibits and state-of-the-art AV know-how, ‘connect’ being one again the appropriate designation.
